The Age Pension provides income for people in retirement. Depending on your age and how long you have lived in Australia, you may be eligible for the Age Pension.
Not everyone qualifies for the Age Pension. Whether you qualify depends on:
- your age,
- the value of your income and assets; and
- the amount of time you have lived in Australia.
Your partners' income and assets are also taken into account.
